Silicone Scar Sheets
The silicone scar sheets consist of a protective layer, a silicone gel layer, and a release liner. The silicone gel layer works through physical mechanisms to help improve existing pathological skin scars and effectively prevent the formation of new scars. The silicone layer optimizes the structure of the scar epidermis, reduces capillary and collagen fiber proliferation, and enhances the metabolism and nutrient supply of scar tissue. It allows normal skin respiration, accelerates scar tissue metabolism, and inhibits moisture evaporation from the skin surface, maintaining hydration of the scar tissue. This helps soften scars and suppress excessive scar formation.
